Coupons
Generic IST coupons enable the customer to use a single design for multiple applications. It permits flexibility in the construction related to number of layers, stack-up, copper weights and feature sizes – within the limits of the instructions within each design.
Each commonly-used technology is supported: Plated-through Hole, Blind Via, Buried Via, Microvia, Sequential Lamination and Back Plane. The following technology flow chart will help determine which coupon design is best suited to fit your application. If these generic designs are not suitable to construct a coupon consistent with the actual product, custom coupon design services are available.
Custom Designs
Custom design files are available upon request, should generic designs not suit your purpose. To identify the most appropriate design, it is necessary to complete an IST Design Work Sheet. The required details identify the type of technology (PTH, Blind/Buried Via, Microvia, Sequential Lamination, and Back Plane) to be constructed, and additional information regarding the number of layers and function, basic construction, copper weights, attribute sizes, and Via grid (Pitch) size.
Once the work sheet is submitted, communication will be initiated to confirm whether an existing file or new design will suit the design intent.
